When you use AI-powered features — such as generating a prayer, using the chat assistant, or converting voice to text — the content of your request is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI processes this data under their own privacy policy and does not use API data to train their models by default.
Avoid including sensitive personal information (e.g. full names, financial details, medical records) in prayers or chat messages.

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which employs industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement security measures appropriate for the sensitivity of your data.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Jailbreaking or rooting your device removes OS-level security protections and may put your stored data at risk. We strongly advise against it.
We retain your User Content and preferences for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Anonymised analytics and crash data may be retained longer for product improvement purposes.

Pray is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Pray is operated from Sweden and your data may be processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States (via Firebase and OpenAI). When we transfer data outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses as required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
